Nourishing & Expanding Pleasure With Tantra.

For many we focus on sex as our only source of pleasure.

When we think of pleasure or we seek pleasure, sex and masturbation will be the direction we unconsciously move towards.

When we focus on sex as our source of pleasure, we create two limiting energies:

One, we put our sexual relationships under a heap ton of pressure.

Two, we limit our capacity to know and feel more pleasure by “consuming only one flavour of ice cream”.

To experience and expand into vast states of orgasmic bliss within the act of sex, Tantra invites us to fuel our pleasure and grow our capacity of pleasure in daily life and liberate the stories held in our body from what sits between where we are and the potential of more that is available to us.

Growing into pleasure is an essential key.

It gives us time to integrate and embody pleasure as not something we do, but something we naturally are.

An acorn does not begin the morning as a seed and end it’s day as a tree.

Pleasure “develops” through our allowing of pleasure to be part of our everyday nourishment.

As days, turn into weeks, into years, we empty of that which restricts limits and keeps us apart from self, others and the world around us as a sensual approach, enabling pleasure to most simply flow without effort into all aspects of being alive

In turn because of what once sat between self and pleasure has dissolved, there is now nothing that sits between self and other…

And this my dear friend is the divine sharing of love and pleasure in sexual union.

Allowing pleasure as a state of being:

Allowing self to thrive in pleasure may stir up false beliefs such as shame, selfishness and unworthiness.

We have not been taught to thrive in pleasure .

We have not been taught pleasure is the lubrication of a joyful and creative life.

In society, many teachings of pleasure have ingrained a fear of sin, and limited pleasure to the functional act of sex. This means that for many life feels dried up of colour, creativity, vibrancy, meaning and passion.

We were born into these miraculous bodies that breathe  …

and touch…

and smell…

and taste…

and hear.

And it is these gifts of body that are the pathway to pleasure.

The Tantric pathway to bliss.

When stagnant in a monotonous functional life of survival, we do not take a breath full into the “wet” of our pelvis and genitals.

We exist chest to head and forget we need the rhythmic movement of breath in our belly and the grounded feeling of breath in our root.

“Trying” with all our might to earn the money to keep what we have strived for, achieved and accomplished, to fit in and be part of the chaotic noise of the world

We forget to pause and taste, truly taste with our tongue.

We do not make time to touch with heart and presence.

We are attuned to the alerts and sounds of mobile phones, not the bird song.

The source of pleasure is the simplicity of our body, our breath, our senses.

As we reclaim these simple small delicacies back into ordinary daily life and let go of attachments to the chaos and drama that provides no deep nourishing qualities,

we begin to notice the colour of the rose in bloom, we feel our body responding to taste and touch.

To sound …

And once again we are breathing long and slow and deep into pleasure.
